This system is exactly the same as our popular FX-4200 kit except the FX-3800 utilizes our NEW Slim-Line 24×24 Softbox on the Boom light. This new softbox kit is 50% shallower than our standard 24×24 softbox so in low ceiling situation it will allow you optimize the distance from the floor to the face of the softbox.
The NEW Slim-Line 24×24 Softbox kits also utilize a shallower bulb to accommodate the softbox thinner dimensions.

DayFlo-FX systems deliver daylight Kelvin light source that creates an increased dynamic range in both contrast and color spectrum compared to Tungsten sources. This means that the camera sees more variation between light and dark as well as more shades of each color.

The Boom-Rig is an indispensable tool for almost every shoot. Seems no mater what the scene is this boom set up becomes critical for extreme flexibility and getting everything “just right”.
For a more contrast look you can remove the front diffusion panels from these softboxes, which also allows the light source to travel further distance if that’s the effect you need. But you will more than likely keep the panels attached and take advantage of the ultimate softlight possible.
If lower light intensities is what’s needed to get the shot each 4-Bank head allows you to switch on or off each bulb in the fixture. So you can incrementally adjust the output from 160 watts to just under 6000 watts of smooth soft color rich daylight. Awesome!

Better Safe Than Sorry! Each Light Stand is exceptionally well made and will allow you to elevate the heads up to 8′ high. We highly recommend always using Sand Bags laid across the base of the stands base whenever you shoot for safety’s sake. This creates a very stable support for these large assemblies.
We’ve ensured you’ll have most everything you need for a shoot like extra bulbs in case of a failure, well made power cabling to ensure you safely route power to each fixture, a 6 outlet power strip, and tie downs to help minimize tripping over cords while doing your creative work.
These items are almost always often overlooked and there’s nothing worse than getting a kit and realizing you need more stuff just to work with it. Having enough cable to neatly run them out of the way to keep the set as safe to get around in as possible.
Make sure to take the time and be neat with your cable runs routing them out of the main walk-ways if possible so sound mixers, camera men, make-up artists and crew can properly service the set and actors without tripping over cables.
