A Teleprompter is a “must-have” piece of equipment for television style video projects where a script will be used. From training tutorials to corporate presentations to local news, a teleprompter will ease the pressure off of the talent having to memorize a script. Anyone that has shot a script driven video project knows it can be a seemingly impossible task and very difficult at best even with the most experienced on-air talent.
Having to re-take a segment over and over again because the talent blanked out, missed a line, or an entire part of the script is not only very expensive because of time lost, but in most cases also drains the spark right out of the talent as they become more and more frustrated with their performance errors. EZ Prompter will eliminate these problems once and for all allowing your talent to show up at the last minute and flawlessly deliver an unseen script.
Another critical feature a Teleprompter will offer is they force your talent to look directly into the cameras lens as they recite their lines. Looking directly into the cameras lens creates the effect of looking the audience directly in the eye. Direct eye contact creates the best audience experience when watching any reality based production where the talent is addressing the audience.
There are basically 2 types of teleprompter, those that use a static page of text and those that scroll text.
A static teleprompter is the easiest to use of these two types. EZ Prompter is a static text prompter. It requires no electronics, software, or cables to operate. EZ Prompter is extremely lightweight, portable, and easy to use. EZ Prompter weighs about as much as a wide-angle lens adapter.
A scrolling teleprompter can deliver an unlimited amount of text over any period of time. Being software driven the operator can adjust the font size to what ever is needed to be seen clearly by the talent. Text can even be updated as the talent is delivering their lines.
Additionally these types of prompters can deliver text to multiple cameras in a studio simultaneously. So changing camera angles on the fly while in mid-script is as easy as it can be without having to memorize.
